Tools
- Cord/Cordless Drill
- 4mm/6mm Drill Bit
- A Philips Screw Driver
Start by removing the old number plate from the vehicle, if fitted, pop open the plastic caps to remove the screw. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws.
With the old plate removed place it directly on top of the new one, this will ensure that the new plate will have two holes in the same place as the old one. We recommend that you place a piece of wood or cardboard under the number plates as this will keep the drill bit in good condition.
Use the drill to create the two holes in the new number plate, depending on the width of the screw you can decide which size drill bit to use (normally 4mm or 6mm). Don’t apply too much pressure as you may crack the plastic or even break the sealant on the back of the plate.
Fit the new number plate back onto the vehicle using the original holes, don’t forget to put the plastic caps on the screws first if needed.
